Apple DockKit support means iPhone users get tracking inside the native iPhone Camera app, Facebook, YouTube, and Blackmagic Camera — no DJI Mimo app needed. Tap the gimbal's NFC patch with the iPhone unlocked to pair. After first connection, subsequent uses reconnect automatically.

The Multifunctional Module adds cats and dogs to the tracking targets — a first for the OM line. Best results with one pet in frame; the algorithm gets confused with multiples. Module also adds fill light (multi-level brightness and colour temperature) and DJI Mic 3 / Mic Mini / Mic 2 audio reception.

DJI's 7th-generation stabilisation handles fast walks, light running, and pan-tilt switches without compromising image quality. Pan range 360° unlimited; tilt -20° to 40°; roll -67° to 245°. 3350 mAh battery delivers 10 hours stationary or about 5 hours with module tracking on, fill light off.

Mobile 8 or Mobile 8P?+
Mobile 8P (₹13,990+) is worth it if you want the FrameTap detachable remote — useful for solo framing across a room — or Module 2's expanded tracking (vehicles, objects). Mobile 8 (₹11,990) covers the core experience: 360° pan, DockKit, pet tracking, 10-hour battery. Most casual creators are well-served by Mobile 8.
Does the Multifunctional Module come with Mobile 8?+
Not in the Standard Combo. The Advanced Tracking Combo bundles the Multifunctional Module — required for cat/dog tracking, fill light, and DJI Mic audio reception. Module 1 is also sold separately as the OM 8 Tracking Kit if you start with Standard and add it later.
Will my phone fit?+
Compatible with phones 67–84 mm wide, 6.9–10 mm thick, and 170–300 g. iPhone 16 Pro Max (227 g) and Galaxy S25 Ultra both fit comfortably. Phone case OK as long as combined thickness is under 10 mm. Cases with metal MagSafe rings can interfere with the magnetic clamp — remove if so.
Why is Mobile 8 heavier than Mobile 7P?+
Mobile 8 is 370 g vs 7P's 368 g — basically identical. The added 2 g comes from the larger battery (3350 mAh) and stronger magnets. Both feel similar in hand. Mobile 7's lighter 300 g body comes from omitting the built-in extension rod, not from skimping elsewhere.
Warranty and after-sales support+
1-year DJI manufacturer warranty, 7-day replacement on manufacturing defects, and optional AMC for accidental damage. All repairs at our in-house facility in Sector 66 Gurgaon.
